Valerie joined PSC in July 2023 as a Training Coordinator and Instructional Specialist. She sits on the Communications Team but works across the various teams to create instructional modules and learning opportunities for instructors and students. Also, she heads the internship program.
Prior to arriving at PSC, Valerie was a Spanish teacher for twenty years as well as a world language curriculum coordinator. Likewise, she was a professional learning specialist and a content creator for a language publishing company. She is a member of several professional organizations and has presented regionally and nationally on the topics of differentiated learning and cultural competency many times.
Outside of work, Valerie loves spending time with her husband and son, reading, watching Spanish television shows on Netflix, and taking all kinds of peloton classes. Valerie is also a novice bird watcher and loves board games.
