Live from Pittsburgh to Abu Dhabi: First International TelePresence Session via NLR
PITTSBURGH, April 16, 2009 – On April 14, National LambdaRail (NLR) announced successful completion of the world’s first international TelePresence session over research and education networks. NLR and ANKABUT, a science initiative of the United Arab Emirates, demonstrated the Cisco Systems technology with a live demonstration between PSC and the campus of Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research in Abu Dhabi.
