Dana obtained her B.S. in chemistry from Allegheny College and her PhD in materials science and engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where she focused on applying computational methods to crystal structure prediction of organic molecules. As a machine learning research scientist at PSC her main job is to provide support for users and conduct research on Neocortex. Dana can often be seen running the hills of Pittsburgh, rock climbing, and curling up with a good book at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
