Bryon Gill is an Advanced Computing Systems Specialist at PSC. He serves as chief admin for the FSI Center server, part of the PNC Center for Financial Services Innovation at CMU. He has worked as an administrator for nearly two decades on a wide variety of systems from Lemieux to Bridges 2. He’s also been a part of a number of training initiatives including the popular Big Data Workshop series, developing instructional materials and teaching as well as providing software infrastructure and technical support.
Bryon studied Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. He won numerous awards as a nationally competitive member of the William Pitt Debating Union but has now retired from arguing. These days Bryon enjoys writing, singing, and weightlifting.
