
Brendan J. Honick, MLIS, is a Data Curator & Metadata Librarian at the PSC and is part of the Biomedical Applications Group. In this role, he oversees the ingestion, validation, and processing of human and mouse research data for the Human Biomolecular Atlas Program (HuBMAP) and the Cellular Senescence Network (SenNet). Brendan’s research specialities include metadata, metadata schema development, metadata application profiles, linked data, and knowledge graphs.
Brendan attained a Master of Science in Library & Information Science from Syracuse University in 2022. During his graduate education, Brendan received the Syracuse University School of Information’s Master’s Degree Award in Library & Information Science, the Jean Goodrich Library Science Leadership Graduate Assistantship, Wilhelm Library Leadership Award. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (an individualized degree concentrated on Analytical Writing) and a Minor in Holocaust & Genocide Studies from Stockton University, which he received in 2020. He is a member of the Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T).
