Maggie Yilmaz is a Machine Learning Research Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data group at the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, which is a joint effort of Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh. Her group is focused on advancing and supporting the convergence of High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data.
Maggie's diverse background includes working in scientific publishing, environmental consulting and natural language processing. She has a Bachelors in English, a Masters in Environmental Geoscience and is a self-taught Python programmer.
