James A. Marsteller, Jr. (CISSP) is the Chief Information Security Officer of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, he is responsible for ensuring the availability and integrity of the PSC's high performance computing assets. Jim has over 19 years experience in the information security field and more than 25 years of professional experience in the field of technology. Jim coleads the XSEDE Incident Response team and XSEDE’s security office. He is a CoPI for the Center for Trustworthy Scientific Cyberinfrastructure (CTSC). Jim has served as the program chair the Cybersecurity Summit since 2009. He has also served as a member of the board for the Pittsburgh FBI Infragard Chapter. Prior to working at PSC, he was a program manager for Cybersecurity Center of the Carnegie Mellon Research Institute which provided information security consulting services for government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.
