XSEDE HPC Training Series

We are pleased to present monthly workshops sponsored by XSEDE on a variety of HPC topics.   Each workshop is telecast to several satellite sites. See the page for a particular workshop for a list of the sites that will carry that workshop.

Upcoming workshops:

XSEDE HPC Workshop : OpenACC - December 4,  2014

OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real applications within very short development periods. This workshop assumes knowledge of either C or Fortran programming.

XSEDE HPC Workshop : MPI - November 5-6, 2014

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI programming. Both days are compact, to accommodate multiple time zones, but packed with useful information and lab exercises.

XSEDE HPC Workshop: OpenMP - October 7, 2014

XSEDE along with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois are pleased to announce a one day OpenMP workshop. This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to OpenMP programming. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using OpenMP.

XSEDE along with the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center are pleased to announce a one day Big Data workshop, to be held September 2, 2014. This workshop will focus on topics such as Hadoop and SPARQL.

XSEDE HPC Workshop : Summer Bootcamp - June 24-27, 2014

This 4 day event will include MPI, OpenMP, OpenACC and accelerators and run June 24-27.  We will conclude with a special hybrid exercise contest that will challenge the students to apply their skills over the following 3 weeks and be awarded the First Annual XSEDE Summer Boot Camp Championship Trophy
