XSEDE HPC Training Series

We are pleased to present monthly workshops sponsored by XSEDE on a variety of HPC topics.   Each workshop is telecast to several satellite sites. See the page for a particular workshop for a list of the sites that will carry that workshop.

Upcoming workshops:

XSEDE HPC Workshop : MPI - May 7-8, 2014

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI programming. Both days are compact, to accommodate multiple time zones, but packed with useful information and lab exercises.

XSEDE HPC Workshop : OpenACC - April 1, 2014

OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real applications within very short development periods. This workshop assumes knowledge of either C or Fortran programming.

XSEDE HPC Workshop: OpenMP - Jannuary 22, 2014

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to OpenMP programming. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using OpenMP.

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to MPI programming. Both days are compact, to accommodate multiple time zones, but packed with useful information and lab exercises. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using MPI – the standard programming tool of scalable parallel computing.
